Broken Marriage/Unfaithful Spouse

There is nothing that can be said that will take away the pain and hurt of that betrayal of the most holy union.  It is a pain that echoes in the eternities.  It is a pain which the Ancients have been through, and only Gods can handle.

If I could say anything it would be to never give up.  First and foremost, get and keep the Spirit of God; follow every prompting.  Second, always follow every direction of the Holy Ghost.  And no matter what, don’t give up!  Keep praying.  Keep repenting.  Keep pure.  Keep your covenants; and if specifically directed by the Holy Spirit, keep being absolutely one with your spouse, with the most loving kindness.  Never look for iniquity in your spouse.  Take the other person’s sins upon you.  Carry them with the most pure love of Christ.  Keep helping your neighbours.  Keep serving.  Keep going until the angels just naturally gravitate to you; and they will.

If you put the Lord first, He will not let anything happen to you that was not foreordained to happen.  You may have perfect faith in that.  It will be a Crown of Glory upon your head!

And if thou shouldst be cast into the pit, or into the hands of murderers, and the sentence of death passed upon thee; if thou be cast into the deep; if the billowing surge conspire against thee; if fierce winds become thine enemy; if the heavens gather blackness, and all the elements combine to hedge up the way; and above all, if the very jaws of hell shall gape open the mouth wide after thee, know thou, my son, that all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good.

The Son of Man hath descended below them all. Art thou greater than he?

Read all of section 122 again, and realize that it applies directly to us.

The Lord will never betray us!
