Just Ask God

It seems truly pointless to me to join in arguments over doctrine.  How can anyone convince anyone else that their opinion is the way things truly are?  Arguing only leads to more arguing.  Fighting over different viewpoints only leads to more fighting.  If these contentious people were half the disciples they vainly attempt to present themselves to be, they would be following the Spirit of Christ and there would be ‘no contentions among them.’

For Jesus said: (condensed for brevity)
28. … And there shall be no disputations among you, as there have hitherto been; neither shall there be disputations among you concerning the points of my doctrine, as there have hitherto been.
29. For verily, verily I say unto you, he that hath the spirit of contention is not of me, but is of the devil, …
31. Behold, verily, verily, I say unto you, I will declare unto you my doctrine.

The answer is simple:

Just ask God.

That’s it, just ask God.
As James said: “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”

God answers.  He even answers in person.  Those who qualify themselves can stand before God himself and receive the instructions that they desire.  There is no point in fighting about what, or who is right.  Just go ask God.  And when He personally stands in front of you, then you can ask Him directly, face to face.

When you get the answer straight from His lips, then you can say the way things actually are.
